We have developed and implemented strategies that:
- helped found and guide the growth of the Association of Financial Guaranty Insurers (AFGI), the trade association representing the bond insurance industry;
- contributed to a 44 percent growth in the membership of the Industry Education Council to NCOIL (the IEC) by enhancing the value of membership, and growing the IEC’s visibility and credibility;
- catalyzed the growth of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) into a major player in public policy discussions and decisions in insurance and financial services; and
- helped found and guide the initial growth of the National Council of Legislators from
Gaming States (NCLGS), an organization of state legislators that has contributed substantially to policy dialogues on a wide range of gaming issues.
We have also:
- planned and run countless conferences, board and committee meetings, and other types of meetings and events; and
- managed and raised substantial funds for foundations supporting the work of NCOIL and
NCLGS.

We have lobbied successfully for:
- enactment of financial guaranty insurance laws in New York, California and Connecticut, which were the nation’s first risk-based capital laws;
- amendment of several provisions of the New York Insurance Law;
- adoption and amendment of resolutions and model legislation by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL).
We have also delivered testimony, speeches and reports before:
- several state legislatures; and
- a variety of insurance and other trade and professional associations.

We have implemented successful media relations strategies and actions including:
- development and placement of countless news, feature, and opinion pieces in mainstream and trade media;
- facilitation of access to editorial boards; and
- development of annual reports for corporate and government clients.

We have spearheaded and authored several significant studies and landmark reports, as well as several books, including:
- Taxation of Multistate E&S Placements: A Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis, on behalf of the Excess Line Association of New York (ELANY);
- Rising Waters, Mounting Challenge — Flood Prevention, Protection and Assistance, a report on the National Flood Insurance Program, published under the auspices of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and NCOIL;
- the first 19 annual editions of the Insurance Legislative Fact Book and Almanac, published for NCOIL;
- two annual volumes on insurance legislation published by CCH;
- a major work on insurance investment law, published by NILS Publishing Company; and
- several other studies for NCOIL.
