Amy King joined Mackin & Company as Director of
Operations in 2004.
In her role as Director of Operations, Amy is instrumental
in several aspects of the company. Amy is responsible for
the budget of two major national associations – the Association of Financial Guaranty Insurers (AFGI) and the Industry Education Council (IEC). Amy is also in charge of financial and statistical research. She concentrates on communications with clients, such as creating documents, planning and scheduling, as well as invoicing/budgeting. Amy also supervises the IT operations for Mackin & Company.
Amy oversees marketing and development of the Industry Education Council (IEC). The IEC includes many of the world’s largest insurance and financial services organizations, as well as smaller companies. Since she began the Council’s membership has increased from 78 to 127. IEC Membership now includes most major national and many state insurance trade associations and companies such as State Farm, Allstate, AIG, and Prudential Financial.
Amy has also coordinated communications and marketing for Mackin & Company, including promoting interest in overseas events. She will soon begin work on a conference planned for London in winter 2007.
Amy holds a BS in economics from Hartwick College. Amy spent a semester committed to improving the economic well–being and development of the city of Oneonta, NY. Amy also studied abroad in Australia, where she became a published writer.
Additionally, Amy is an accomplished softball player. She was a four year college letterman and former head coach of an 18 and under ASA travel softball team. She was a starter at several positions for the New York Capital Region softball team which won the sliver medal in the 2006 Empire State Games. |
